EARTH MAZE, diameter 65 feet. One of the 10 art features encountered along the trail. Consists of three concentric earth and stone rings with a partially buried boulder at its center.

The trail leads into and winds through the rings exiting on the far side.

CORNERSTONE, another feature of DESERT PASSAGES, Lookout Mountain Park. Nine stones are set in a diamond shaped grid, the tallest stone, five feet tall, at one corner. Stone heights decrease at even increments until the last boulder merges with the earth, almost totally buried.

The trail was created by raking stones of the desert pavement to the sides to form a border and to expose the underlying earth. As a result the trail becomes a mile- long sculptural line etched into the desert surface.
